Permits MUST be posted where they are visible to the police officer (lower driver side corner of the dashboard not covered by the vehicle identification number). If you do not have a parking permit, Section 82.191 of the Village of Mukwonago Municipal Code takes effect, and you will be issued a $20 parking citation. Village Budget

The 2023 Budget for the Village of Mukwonago is set and available www.villageofmukwonago.gov/budget

Lottery & Gaming Credit

The Lottery Credit is claimed on one tax parcel in the State of Wisconsin if you were the owner of the described property on January 1, 2022 AND used it as your primary residence for the year.   If you qualify, you should already see a Lottery and Gaming Credit for this parcel on your tax bill.  If you qualify, and didn’t receive this credit on your tax bill, you need to fill out an LC-100 from our office.  There is a deadline to claim this credit. Most all residents already see this credit on their tax bill.

First Dollar Credit

You do not need to apply for the First Dollar Credit.  It is paid on all real property with at least one improvement owned by the owner of the property on which it is located.  The credit is calculated on the total equalized value of the parcel for both the land and improvement values.

Fire Department Reminders

MFD would like to wish One and all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Here are a few important winter safety Reminders.

Please remember to keep all fire hydrants clear of snow by at least 3 feet on all sides. If for some reason you need 911, the last thing you want us spending time doing is clearing snow. Also, don’t forget, sidewalks and driveways without snow are much safer for walking than sidewalks with snow. Next, we have some video reminders not to forget to water your real Christmas trees, check your smoke detectors, and close your doors when you sleep.

Don’t forget to check all your smoke detectors and close all the bedroom doors when you sleep!

Recycling Fees

As of January 1, 2023 new recycling fees will go into effect.  The fee will increase 3.5% from 22.17 to 22.95 per quarter.  These fees are on your quarterly utility bill.  For more information about recycling in the Village visit https://www.johnsdisposal.com/municipalities/mukwonago-village/
