The Village Department of Public Works would like to remind citizens that it is unlawful to allow fecal matter from pets to accumulate on any street, alley or other public or private property unless it is immediately removed. Sec. 14-55 of the Municipal Code Failure to comply with this ordinance will result in a citation from the Mukwonago Police Department.

Dog Licensing

Dogs must be licensed every year. The license period is January 1st to December 31st. Licenses will not be issued unless proof of rabies inoculation is provided.

  • Waukesha Fees: Male/Female, $15.00; Neutered Male/Spayed Female, $10.00.
  • Walworth Fees: Male/Female, $30.00; Neutered Male/Spayed Female, $15.00.
  • Where to Get the License: Click on the License Application link to the left and send or drop your payment off to the Village Hall.

If licenses are not renewed by March 31st, a $5.00 penalty will be assessed. If you elect to have the license mailed back to you, you must enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. Dog owners are required to have available a device to scoop up any pet excrement and to dispose such excrement when their pet is not on their property (Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code)
